Donut Bath Bomb Mold

This is a 3D printed mold for people who make their own bath bombs and is designed to be used by hand.

The mold contains 3 pieces: 2 mold cups and 1 mold sleeve. There are several options for this mold:

• Design
  • Plain Donut
  • Glazed Donut (frosting and sprinkles) (released in June 2023); only available in 3" diameter donut design.
• Donut Hole
  • Auto-hole: one of the insert pieces has a part in the middle that sticks out. This will mean that when you unmold your bath bomb, you will have a hole in the centre of your donut.
  • No Auto-hole: both inserts have a hole in them (no part that sticks out). This will mean that you can manually poke your finger into the middle before unmolding your bath bomb to create a hole in the centre of your donut.

Color of mold may vary from picture.

Finished weight and size of mold is dependent on how much mix you put into the mold.  You can add more or less mix, creating a larger or smaller "Saturn ring" to get to a weight that you are comfortable with. Approximate weights of final bath bombs in photos are:

• 3.5” Diameter: 240 grams / 8.5 oz.
• 3" Diameter: 140 grams / 5 oz.
• 2" Diameter: 50 grams / 1.75 oz.

Our molds are made of PLA which is derived from renewable resources like corn starch or sugar cane. To clean your mold, rinse under cool water and towel dry. PLA is heat sensitive and can retain water, so molds should never be put in the dishwasher or soaked, and should not be rinsed with warm or hot water.

To use: Place one mold cup inside the sleeve. Add your bath bomb mixture. Place the other mold cup on top, and then simply press down hard. You can either push the mold cups out of the sleeve by hand, and then unmold, or you can use a plunger tool to push the mold pieces out. Wipe away any mixture on the inside of the pieces before making the next bath bomb.

Printing Defects

There may be slight discoloration or other printing defects on printed products. This will not affect the performance of the molds.

Cleaning

Rinse your mold under cool water and towel dry to clean mold. Never soak your molds as they can retain water. Do not place your molds in the dishwasher. PLA is susceptible to heat, so please do not use warm or hot water.
